Policies and Procedures
Our vacation
home is managed by Maui Beachfront Rental in Lahaina. Here are their
policies and procedures. Mahalo!
All rates are
subject to applicable Hawaii State Taxes currently 4.166% General Excise Tax and
Transient Accommodations tax at 7.25%.
Payment
Policy:
To confirm a reservation a three (3) night deposit is required at time of
booking and a valid credit card number (no debit cards accepted).
Balance
Due:
The full balance is due (45) forty-five days prior to arrival, with the
exception of reservations held for the Christmas Holiday (12/20 to 1/7). The
full balance for Christmas reservations is due by September 1st. All
payments are non-refundable after final payment due date. In lieu of our refund
policy we do encourage you to consider purchasing travel insurance.
Rates/Fees:
Rates are per night, based on a (5) five night minimum stay, Christmas Holiday
(14) fourteen-night minimum stay. Stays less than the minimal requirement will
be subject to an additional check out cleaning fee.
Cancellation
Policy:
All cancelled reservations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee regardless of
cause. Reservations cancelled 45 days or more prior to arrival will receive a
refund minus the cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled 44 days or less
prior to arrival will lose all monies. No
refunds are made for unused nights resulting from late arrival or early
departures regardless of cause. In lieu of our refund
policy we do encourage you to consider purchasing travel insurance.
Travel
Protection Insurance:
Lodging Insurance is not included in your nightly rate, however for your lodging
protection insurance can be purchased at an additional cost. No coverage is in force unless payment has been
made for lodging insurance. Payments for all insurance premiums are
non-refundable. To purchase Lodging Insurance, insurance premium/payments must
be received no later than 14 days after booking. For Pre-Existing Health
Conditions Exclusion Waiver you must purchase the insurance policy at the same
time of your initial deposit payment for your accommodations. Premium Cost:
CSA is now 6.5% across the board.
Check-In:
Check-in time is not before 3pm. Checkout anytime before 11:00am.
Late
Check-Out:
Requests for late checkouts are subject to a minimum fee of 50% of the nightly
rate. Requests for late checkouts
must be made 48 hours prior to departure and will be honored based on
availability. If you are scheduled on a late flight we recommend booking the
unit for an additional night to ensure availability.
Maid
Service:
Daily maid service is not included in the nightly rate, however services are
available at an additional cost. Advance notice of 48 hours is required in order
to confirm additional maid services. Starter supplies are provided which include
dish detergent, hand dishwashing detergent, hand soap, body soap, paper towels,
trash liners and toilet paper. The replenishment of these products is the
responsibility of the guest.
Extensive
Cleaning Fee:
Each unit is inspected prior to each guest arrival and again immediately upon
departure. Should your unit require extensive cleaning following your departure
additional charges will be applied to the credit card on file. The condo is NON-SMOKING: Should you or your guest inadvertently smoke in the unit
additional cleaning charges will be applied. Professional air purification
services are required to return the unit to its original status. The cost for
these charges are applied to the credit card on file and can reach $500 or more.
Damage
Clause:
The condo's inventory is inspected and recorded prior to each guest arrival and
again immediately following each guest departure. Charges will be applied to the
credit card on file for the repair or replacement of any damaged items, or items
that have been removed and not returned to the unit.
Amenities
Amenities and furnishings are the property of the owner. We
do not allow any exchange of furnishings or amenities from any of the units. This
Unit DOES NOT come equipped with hair dryers, Beach Chairs, Snorkel/Beach
equipment, beach towels, laundry soap or food condiments. Some exceptions
do apply based on items left by previous guests.
Rentals:
Rollaways, cribs,
strollers, etc. are available at an additional cost. Requests for these
amenities can be accommodated providing we receive notification 48 hours prior
to your arrival.
Lost/Found:
The owner and Maui Beachfront Rentals are not responsible for items lost or
items left in the unit at your departure. Any requests for articles left in the
unit to be shipped to a guest are subject to the applicable postage fee and a
MBR handling fee of $25.
