Frequently asked questions

Here's helpful information about a stay in our beautiful Maui Vacation Rental Condo.

Q.  What have prior guests said about your condo?

A.  Click here to view comments from our Maui guestbook.

Q.  What are your deposit and cancellation policies, etc.?

A.  Click Here for our policies and procedures.

Q.  Can you see the ocean from your condo?

A.  Yes, we are an OCEANFRONT development!  There are wonderful views of the ocean from the lanai and from the upstairs loft.  The picture at the top of our web pages was taken from our Lanai (balcony) in 2003, and is our view over the pool to the beach directly in front of our development.

Q.  What's in the kitchen?

A.  The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, cutlery, tools, pots and pans, and utensils.  There is an oven, stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker and refrigerator/freezer.  All you'll need to bring is food and condiments.  There is a Costco right at the Kahului airport exit, and Star Market in Honokowai is just a mile down the road.  There's also a Safeway and drugstore in Lahaina on the way to the condo, and a small general store just steps from the condo.  We can also arrange to have groceries delivered prior to your arrival.

Q.  What are the sleeping arrangements?

A.  The upstairs master suite has a king bed.  The downstairs master bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds.  There is also a queen sofa bed in the living room.  Both bathrooms have large tubs with showers.  We can arrange for a crib, rollaway bed, or high chair with 48 hours notice.

Q.  Is the pool crowded?

A.  Not at all.  This is a quiet development and we've never yet seen the pool crowdedt.  There are also two gas barbecues in the pool area which are almost always available.

Q.  What supplies are in the condo when I arrive?

A:  The condo is delivered clean with fresh linens and towels (but not beach towels) to accommodate your party.  There will also be dish detergent, hand dishwashing liquid, hand soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, and garbage bags.  These are not replenished.  Sorry, We DO NOT provide laundry detergent nor hair dryers.

Q. What should I bring or buy once I get there?

A.  Rum and POG juice.  Seriously, hairdryer, beach towels, food, drink, coffee, milk, sugar, spices, condiments should be on your list.

Q.  Is there daily maid service?

A.  No, but if you're staying with us a while, mid-stay cleanings can be arranged for a nominal cost with advance notice.  The condo will be cleaned just before you arrive and after you leave.

Q.  What do we do when leaving?

A.  Not much to do!  Just leave the dirty towels and linens in the condo for the maid service to replace  Please clean anything extraordinary, and  please do report any problems to either us or Maui Beachfront Rentals.

Q.  Is there parking?

A.  There is an assigned space for the condo.  There are a few guest spaces in the lot, first-come first-served.  There's usually ample parking.

Q.  What is the beach like?

A.  There is a small, rocky beach right in front of the condo.  Within a few minutes walk or drive are several wide, sandy beaches at Honokowai, Kahana, and Napili.  3 miles south is Kaanapali beach, with great shops right on the beachfront and lots to do for the kids, and 3 miles north is Kapalua resort..

Q.  Are there restaurants nearby?

A.  Within two blocks are McDonalds, Outback Steakhouse, China Boat, Roy's Asian Cuisine and Dolly's Pub  Within five minutes drive are many other restaurants including Pizza, Ribs & Chicken, Subway, Maui Tacos, and a Coffee shop.  Lahaina and all it offers is less than 6 miles away.  It's 5.8 miles to the nearest Starbucks, in case you were wondering.

Q.  How do the DSL and wireless high-speed internet work?

A.  If your computer has Ethernet, you can connect your PC to a router in the upstairs bedroom.  Ethernet cables are provided in the condo, please return them before you leave.  If your computer has "WiFi", you can use it anywhere in the condo.  Instructions are in the guest information book in the condo.

Q.  What do you like to do on Maui?

A.  We recommend
-    Whalewatch!  If you come during the winter months, you'll see humpback whales.
-    Bicycle down Haleakala Volcano (www.mountainriders.com).  Tons of fun, coast all the way down.
-    Old Lahaina Luau (www.oldlahainaluau.com).  Simply the best luau ever, right on the beach
-    Snorkel with Pacific Whale Foundation (www.pacificwhale.org).  Educational, and inexpensive too!
-    Walk Lahaina from the Banyan Tree to the Hard Rock.  Great dining/shopping/sights
-    Sail with Trilogy to Lanai or just a sunset sail (www.sailtrilogy.com) for pure luxury.
-    Take a Kayak tour in South Maui near Makena - just drive to the end of the road.
-    The road to Hana is very long.  If you go leave early and return early to beat slow traffic.
-    Visit the small town of Paia - it's on the way to Hana, and the bicycle tours end there as well

A.  Here are some of our favorites
-    Maui Tacos - several locations.  Just great mex-hawaiian
-    Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina (behind Safeway) Local style, inexpensive, outdoor dining
-    Mamas Ribs & Rotisserie in Napili.  Get there early though, they can sell out before dinnertime.

-    At home!  Cook breakfasts in the condo
-    Pizza Paradiso (several locations)  Best on the island.

-    Kobe Japanese Steak House and Sushi.  Loads of fun
-    There are plenty of fast food franchises in Lahaina as well.
